Using a Health Care
Savings Account
(HSA) here at the HSCC
by Michelle Provencher, CNC
Did you know that 95% of the services here at the center are IRS coded and can be paid for with your flexible spending account (FSA) or your health care savings account (HSA)?
Having a chronic neck condition, I frequently need to see our acupuncturist, Lucinda Fecteau for a few treatments (which by the way worked better than five cervical epidurals, 100's of trigger point injections, physical therapy, and cervical traction--but that's another story).
I submitted my receipts to my FSA coordinator and they mailed me a check! Does your or your spouse's employer offer enrollment in an HSA or FSA? If you do not know, ask your Human Resources coordinator to find out when open enrollment is. By signing up for this benefit, you can set pre-tax money aside for health care related expenses. If you have one of these accounts, remember the next time your back starts hurting and you would love a massage, go for it and use your FSA or HSA money to get you feeling your best!
